I think I read somewhere that all beetlemoses comics are taking place in the same universe. So here is another horseshoe crab comic of theirs

comics are taking place in the same universe
We are all in the same universe too
Not me
Let me know if you need anything from this one, I got you
cheese

That’s exactly what an interdimensional alien would say 🧐
Nope, my DnD character got transported to an alternate dimension. Not in the same universe as you.
Technically correct. The best kind of correct.
Fun facts about horseshoe crabs:
- Not crabs, in fact not even close. Chelicerates like the arachnids.
- Have photoreceptors in their “tail” (telson).
Edit: For some taxonomic context, king crabs are closer than shrimp are closer than woodlouse are closer than barnacles are closer than bees are closer than myriapods (centipedes and millipedes) are closer than horseshoe crabs to being crabs.
The question is though, are they in fact a horse, shoe, or horseshoe?
Fun fact: horse shoe crabs are more closely related to horses than shoes
Nature sure is wild.
Thanks for the very specifically detailed order🫡
Is it crab by phylogeny, or crab by anatomy?
Horseshoe Crab: Unbothered. Moisturized. Happy. In My Lane. Focused. Flourishing.
UMHIMLFF?
Hrrrmmm, needs a better acronym
Me trying to keep quiet after banging my toe into furniture in the middle of the night
Damned blue bloods. Thinking they’re better than everybody else.
I’ve seen a lot of them in person. 10/10 creepy.
They’re safe looking on top but a nightmare underneath.
I’m going with they look nightmarish all around. Kayaked to a remote island. Nah, I just walked into the next Alien movie.
They have like nine different types of eyes. Even that tail is an eye of sorts, covered with photoreceptors.
Thank you for more nightmare fuel.
My little angels
If I had a time machine I’d go back to when the first amphibian crawled on land and throw that fucker back in the ocean.
Congratulations! You just invented a whale!
Or any of several aquatic reptiles (sea turtles, sea snakes, mosasaurs, plesiosaurs, etc.)

Well, whales’ story is a bit different.
Yeah, they left the ocean and then came back!

Fake news. Horseshoe crabs have evolved equally as much as every other existing species. The difference is they have a highly effective form for the environments they have survived in. Other forms either diverged or went extinct while this version continues to be very good at survival.
In hindsight…
No need to evolve further if you’re already perfect
